Don’t Forget: Date Your Mail-In Ballot with the Date You Fill It Out
The Third US Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that undated or incorrectly dated mail-in ballots should not be counted. This could lead to thousands of ballots being rejected statewide in the upcoming election. Voting rights advocates are appealing this decision, arguing that the three-member panel ruled too narrowly and misinterpreted the Civil Right Act. Keep your eye on this case.
In the meantime: If you vote by mail, make sure to write the date you vote on your ballot’s outside envelope - and sign the outside envelope too!
